The role of two predators, Doru taeniatum Dorhn and Solenopsis geminata F., as control agents of Spodoptera frugiperda in Honduras

Predation of Solenopsis geminata and Doru taeniatum on the whorlworm (WW), Spodoptera frugiperda, and possible manipulation on D. taeniatum for improved biological control of WW were studied during 1988 in Central Honduras. Predation studies included a field study on impact of S. geminata and D. taeniatum on WW mortality, a cage study on predation of D. taeniatum on second instar WW, and a study on predation of second instar WW by S. geminata.
