Una perspectiva no eurocéntrica para el estudio de las Relaciones Internacionales: el este de Asia

This article offers to the reader an approximation to a historical reality which was until recentrly relegated, or even forgotten, by the Social scientists and the International Relations specialistin a particular, due to the preponderance of the imposed precepts and fundaments of the so called "western civilization"; the one of the eastern Asia. This "eurocentrism", which even nowadays leads the approaches and perspectives from which social phenomena -both national and international, present or past- are studied, represents a dense veil that hinders our vision of parallel or even older realities than the Western. Thus, taking the specific cases of China, Japan and Korea, the author presents a different approach which allows the visualization of the complex and diverse world of the 21st century.

El presente trabajo nos acerca a la construcción de una realidad histórica que, hasta hace algunos años, había quedado relegada a un segundo plano u olvidada en su totalidad por los estudiosos de las Ciencias Sociales en general, y de las Relaciones Internacionales en particular, debido en gran parte a la preponderancia de los preceptos y fundamentos impuestos por la denominada "civilización Occidental": la del este de Asia. Este "Eurocentrismo" que domina aún en nuestros días las perspectivas desde las cuales se abordan los fenómenos sociales nacionales e internacionales, pasados y presentes, constituye en sí mismo un tupido velo que nos impide visualizar adecuadamente la formación de realidades paralelas, o incluso más antiguas que la de Occidente. Así, tomando como ejemplo a China, Japón y Corea, el autor nos ofrece una perspectiva diferente que nos permite visualizar el mundo del siglo XXI: diverso y complejo.
