The labor competences of the agricultural extension agent
In order to seek economic progress and food supply in Cuba, agriculture has promoted the creation of organizational forms of agricultural production; which have the charge of the Agrarian Extension agent; its elementary importance is the promotion, dissemination and implementation of changes, raising the economic, social, cultural and political development of agriculture. The study aims to: determine the labor competencies of the extension agent. Using as reference the work of the agricultural extension agent in the Credit and Service Cooperatives of the municipality of Cotorro and the labor competencies they play. The research is descriptive, with a non-experimental design; of transverse type. As techniques were used the survey, the interview, the documentary analysis and the Delphi method. The main results are in the order of importance the competences: communication and verbal aptitude, orientation to the service and teamwork, among the 11 that were determined by the experts. It is recommended to implement the labor competencies of the agent of extension to the management of human resources in the context studied.
