Seed performance after exposure to high temperatures

In orthodox seed management, the application of temperatures over 42ºC is routinely associated with deterioration while biological behaviors in operations conducted under high temperatures are hardly ever studied. The results found, however, indicate the possibility of stationary drying of soybean seeds at 50ºC, provided that the insufflated air flow intensity is considered, as well as the reduction of B. brizantha seed dormancy submitted to 85ºC.
