Content of 60th International Congress of Meat Science and Technology

The 60th International Congress of Meat Science and Technology was held at the Conrad Hotel in Punta del Este, Maldonado‐Uruguay during August 17th and 22nd. The National Institute of Agricultural Research (INIA), the National Meat Institute (INAC), the Technological Laboratory of Uruguay (LATU) and the Uruguayan Animal Production Association (AUPA), worked together during more than one year of meetings organizing this event. Attendance: 389 people from 37 countries, distributed as follows: 255 delegates, 52 students, 33 keynote speakers and Industry Authorities from 15 countries of the 5 continents. The academic activity took place at around 8 plenary sessions, 6 parallel sessions, 273 posters, and 20 oral presentations. There were 3 awards for the best posters according to the established procedure by the Technical Committee. Only the students engaged and had to defend their work before a jury.
