This publication contains 120 extended abstracts, with key data and results, for many speakers' presentations and all posters exhibited at the Arnel R Hallauer International Symposium on Plant Breeding, 17-22 August 2003, Mexico City, Mexico. The abstracts describe the rationales, materials, methods, and results of recent studies on such topics as quantitative genetics, breeding tools, stress breeding, seed production, participatory plant breeding, genetic resources, participatory plant breeding, and specialty traits. Each abstract also carries one or two selected tables or figures.
