CIMMYT review 1974

During the 6-month period ending March 1974, the staff of this center conducted a review of its own programs. Wheat scientists examined the research fields of maize. the maize staff examined the fields pf wheat. The economists looked over the shoulder of both. -there were seminars in the CIMMYT conference room to discuss questions of scientific method, When a significant difference pf opinion arose, a staff committe was selected to negotiate a group judgement. Out of this 6-month process, CIMMYT produce a summary of activities which id presented in this booklet. Seven issues which received substantial disscussion during the period are summarized at the back of the report, under the laberl of Special Reports. For background, we have added a list of the Trustees who formilate CIMMYT's policies, a staff list, and a record of CIMMYT's audited financial support for calendar year 1973. This publication serves as a record of CIMMYT's accountability for the year under review.
