Capacitacion en el CIMMYT
El CIMMYT lleva a cabo actividades de investigación y capacitación en servicio en cuatro estaciones situadas en México, además de la sede. Por su diversidad agroclimática, esas estaciones permiten sembrar cultivos experimentales durante todo el año en condiciones representativas de una gran cantidad de ambientes del mundo en los que se cultivan el maíz y el trigo. Cerca de la mitad del personal del Centro está asignado a programas nacionales y regionales fuera de México. Además de sus numerosas actividades de investigación y capacitación, estas personas constituyen la principal fuente de información y recomendaciones sobre los posibles participantes en los cursos y programas de capacitación del CIMMYT.
