Anti-candidal activity of 7-hydroxycalamenene isolated from croton cajucara.

The leaves and bark from Croton cajucara Benth (family Euphorbiaceae), a shrub from the Amazon, have been used locally used in folk medicine to treat, diabetes, malaria, grastrointestinal and liver disorders.
