Valoración del muestreo empleado en el balance de pérdidas de aceite en plantas de beneficio de aceite de palma.

A sampling valuation carried out in oil palm mills to estimate the loss of palm oil in the process points of greater interest as empty fruit bunches, fiber, liquid effluents and kernel is presented. In view of the need to update the laboratory manual of oil palm mills, reliable statistical arguments to support or modify these methodologies must be produced. The study includes a statistical valuation to carry out intrasample analysis to determine the variation within a same analyzed sample in the laboratory and intersample analysis, which valuates the variation in a similar way , in this case, during the sampling day. For the most part, the samples showing less variation, according to the procedure established in the laboratory manual, are the hot liquid effluents and fibers, due to the fact that they allow an easy homogenization. Likewise, the fiber and kernels accumulated samples during the shift are representative. As for the liquid samples and empty fruit bunches, several considerations must be taken into account in order to improve their representativity during sampling and accumulation.
