Lista de corales pétreos (Hydrozoa: milleporina, stylasterina; anthozoa: scleractinia) de aguas someras del Banco de Campeche, México
A checklist of 42 stony coral species (Milleporina, Stylasterina and Scleractinia), for the coral reefs of the Campeche Bank, Mexico, is presented. This list includes 16 new records of stony corals for the Campeche Bank: one milleporid, one stylasterid and 14 scleractinian species. The presence of Colpophyllia breviserialis, Manicina areolata and Solenastrea sp., previously recorded by other authors, was not corroborated. Taxonomic work, with regional comparative research, is needed to improve management.
