Resumen: A phylogenetic analysis of the genus Camisia is presented and includes the five genera usually considered within the family Camisiidae. Phylogeny indicates the presence of two lineages clearly established within the family. Within the genus Camisia two lineages that correspond to subgenus Camisia and Ensicamisia are clearly supported. The basal lineage to these groups is represented by a non-described group yet that seems to be a new genus that has a number of features shared with the group Camisia species and other genera of the family included in the analysis. For phylogeny analysis used PAUP 3.1.1 program, MacClade 4.07 and EntroPhyl 1. The matrix has 70 morphological characters for 34 taxa. Using parsimony analysis obtained 8 trees equally expected. The entropy analysis presents a series of characters indicating that are well defined and obtain a single strong statistical supported phylogenetic tree with: L = 80, Cl = 0.84, RI = 0.87, with a minimum of 67 changes, and a maximum of 168 characters changes in the topology.
